Eligibility Criteria For Group X & Group Y Recruitment in Indian Air Force
Age Limit: For Group X and Group Y recruitment the age limit is 17 Years to 21 Years.
Education Criteria for Group X trades:
- Applicant must have done 10 + 2 with Physics/Mathematics/English as mandatory subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
- Aspirants must have done 3 years diploma course in Engineering in any one of the prescribed streams from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate.
Education Criteria for Group Y trades (Except Auto Tech/GTI/IAF(P)/IAF(S) & Musician trades) :
- Applicant must have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central /State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- To apply for the post of Medical Assistant Trade Only the applicant must have passed 10+2/Intermediate/ equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- Candidates who are eligible for Group X examination (based on intermediate/10+2) can also apply for Group Y and would be given an option of appearing in both group X and Group Y exam in one sitting while filling up the online registration form.
Selection Procedure In IAF for Group X and Y Recruitment
